Graphistes World Artbook #1 is out !

Finally, here it is ! I'm proud to announce that the Graphistes World Artbook 01, which features 6 of my works, is out ! My works included in the artbook are : Deliverance, Immortally Insane, Freyja, Tonight In Hell, Hypnosis and Delta Theory. This artbook (223 pages) edited by Oracom Editions is a fine selection of francophones digital artists, and I'm very proud to be a part of it! The book is available in a lot of bookstores and of course on line via Amazon or FNAC. New website : the v8

So here it is, a fresh new website : the v8. Due to some recent hacking attempts (who is stupid enough to try to hack an "art related" website?!), I totally rebuilt it, from the core to the design, which is, as you can see, really more minimalistic than the previous version : I really wanted the visitors to focus on the content, and to easily find what they want. Now each image / illustration / project / etc will have its own details in a full article, separated from the usual news articles, only the photos are still in a "simple" gallery mode (less details to show about a photo, I think, and photos are not really my main activity). I also rebuilt all categorys, kind of displays, reordered the stuff and deleted some things that was too old (RIP to few images). The website is still propulsed by Wordpress but with a recent version, and a lot of modifications and own coded pages/modules, I spent a lot of time these days to do this, it was not so easy because I had a lot of datas to reorder, and the configuration of the website is a bit more complicated than before (specially with the new Wordpress 3 post type format) but… as I also like coding… here it is ! Some more content should be added soon and I can now come back to Photoshop ! By the way, I recently had an eye on the website stats, and wow, I usually don't really watch those datas, but I was really suprised by the amount of visits each days & month, so if you're a regular visitor and reading this, thank you very much for keeeping informed and having an eye on my work! ECNEPHIAS video clip inspired by my artwork

Well, it's the first time that one of my artwork inspire the main character of an official band video clip, I had to write a post about that. It concerns the latest video of ECNEPHIAS ("A Satana", from the album "Inferno" - that I made the cover artwork). As you will see, the main character of the video clip is a faithfull reproduction of my "Son Of Seth"'s character (details of the original artwork available here). So I thought it could be interesting to post some video screens in order to show how the make up work on the girl is great, to reproduce almost the same feeling, colors, light etc... I think the result is very good and near of what I tried to sort out in my original image. Well, I feel like a part of this work when I see this video, so I'm finally a bit proud of it ! SALVING THY AMISS cover artwork

I'm very proud to reveal the cover artwork I made for my furious friends of SALVING THY AMISS. Their third release, "Our sons, heart-rending stories from babblers", should be available soon, a title is already listenable on this page. As some maybe noticed, I have already worked for STA in the past, making the cover artwork of their previous release, "Amid All This Mess, A Week Splendour", which was already led by their horse character. I also made a promotional poster for the release. Those guys are really talented, check out their page urgently.

BAHT "In My Veins" cover artwork

I'm very proud to reveal the cover artwork I made for the upcoming album "In My Veins" from the band BAHT (Progressive Death Metal / Turkey). This cover artwork is based on my personal image, "In My Veins". As you may note, I also gave this album name. "In My Veins" was mixed by the prestigious Dan Swanö (who worked for bands such as Opeth, Katatonia, Bloodbath, Diabolical Masquerade, Edge Of Sanity, Pain, Novembers Doom and so much more). "In My Veins" should be available in the beginning of 2012. Hope to show the full booklet as soon as the album is released. Watch out this really great band, which will have, I'm sure, a great future.

New publication at Oracom Editions

Another book ! I have been recently published in the latest book "Savoir tout faire avec Photoshop Vol. IV" at Oracom Editions. I have written a 8 pages tutorial that shows how I made my image Immortally Insane, step by step. "Savoir tout faire avec Photoshop" is a really great book (238 pages) full of nice tutorials all written by talented artists, so I'm happy to be in! 2ème DAILY DEVIATION

Quel honneur ce matin en prenant mon café de voir que l'équipe Deviantart m'avait accordé une seconde Daily Deviation! La première était pour mon fond d'écran tiré de Deliverance, cette fois ci c'est pour une photo ou j'essayais pour une de mes première fois le light painting.
